WildHearts WolfTrek

Tuesday, April 12th, 2011

Set yourself a goal for 2011 and sign up for the WildHearts WolfTrek, an epic outdoor challenge taking place across 45 miles of Highland wilderness, from Forres on the magical Moray Firth Coast all the way to monstrous Cairngorm Mountain!  Now in its fourth year the WolfTrek has been named one of ‘9 Events Everyone Must Do’ by Men’s Fitness Magazine and described as ‘Epic…One of a kind’ by Men’s Health Magazine.  The spectacular WolfTrek route was created by the WildHearts team (you won’t find it on any map) and due to the unique conservational sensitivities of the terrain it passes through can only be held on ONE weekend a year.

In teams of 3 or more you will have 24 hours to wolf down the whole challenge or you can choose to take part in a team relay, tackling a bite-sized 15 mile section of the route. Alternatively choose to take on the Midnight March, a 17 mile run or trek from Forres to the ghostly shores of Lochindorb.

Walk 10, Eastbourne

Thursday, March 31st, 2011

An evening stroll through Eastbourne’s promenade is the best way to round off the summer with this premier Walk 10 event in Eastbourne. Taking in the sea air with friends and family whilst witnessing the seaside’s main attractions as you walk into a stunning sun set. Once you return to the start point you will be met with a host of entertainment from live music, stilt walkers, acrobats and light displays and hot snacks and beverages will be available. This evening of entertainment along with your picnic will be finished off with an address to the crowd by a Marie Curie nurse marking the start time of an evening shift. There is also the opportunity to decorate memory lanterns prior to the walk; these are then lit for the 10pm ceremony where there is a minutes silence to mark the end of the event.
