Rainforest 10K Run

On Sunday 5th September 2010, we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Rainforest 10K Run. Come and join us at Finsbury Park, pop on your running shoes and make footprints that won’t do any damage!

In the past 20 years the Rainforest Foundation has helped to protect over 100,000 square kilometres of rainforest land for sustainable use by local communities. We are now working to secure protection for a further one million square kilometres of rainforest.

Help us to achieve this goal by running the Rainforest 10K Run.

Regsiter now at http://www.rainforestfoundationuk.org/RF10K

The event will start at 10.30am with a 1K Fun Run for kids under 9 years of age, where parents are welcome to run with their children, followed by a warm-up for the 10K runners.

The main race will start at approximately 11.15am.

As well as the two races, the event will feature ethical food stalls, live music, children’s entertainment and free massage zone, all encouraging a green and healthy festive atmosphere for everyone running or just coming along to watch and support. Ribbon medals will be awarded to everyone, and there will be trophies for the first three runners in each category (1K, 10K Female, 10K Male). Spot prizes and monthly prizes will also be awarded to the best fundraisers.

Venue facilities: Toilets; free massage area; supervised bag storage; frequent water stations; food and drink; First Aid.
